What is SculpSure®?
SculpSure® is a cutting-edge medical device that uses a laser to safely and effectively permanently destroy fat without needing surgery. Our technician uses SculpSure® to help the body remove the localized pockets of fat that stick around despite diet and exercise. Average loss is 1 inch per treatment with most patients 2 treatments required at 6 week intervals for a total of 2 inches permanently off after 2-3 months.
Through body contouring with SculpSure® you will see improved shape and reduced inches. You must still follow a healthy diet. it’s not intended to replace a proper diet or exercise, rather complement them.
SculpSure® is cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration to treat your abdomen, love handles, flanks (sides of your abdomen), inner thighs, outer thighs, and back. It’s also FDA-cleared to remove fat under your chin, so you can get rid of a double chin. We have used it on stubborn back fat / bra fat and arm fat.
How does SculpSure® work?
The SculpSure® laser operates at a wavelength that’s only absorbed by fat cells below the skin’s surface. As a result, surrounding tissues like your skin aren’t affected by the laser during treatment. Any skin shade can use SculpSure®.
As fat cells absorb laser energy, they’re heated to a temperature that destroys the cells. After the cells break down, your body eliminates the waste and that area of fat is gone for good.
What happens during SculpSure® treatment?
Our technician uses several applicators, depending on the size of the area being treated. After securely placing the device against your skin, the applicators send laser energy into fat cells.
During your 25-minute session, the laser automatically cycles on and off to maintain a steady temperature in fat cells. Each applicator contains a cooling device to keep your skin comfortable, so as the laser turns on and off, you feel cycles of deep warmth and coolness.
Most patients tolerate the procedure well and although uncomfortable your skin may be a little red after the procedure, but you won’t need to take downtime from routine activities.
When will you see results?
It takes time for your body to remove the cellular waste. You may begin to see results in about six weeks, with the optimal effect within 12 weeks. With one SculpSure® treatment, you may lose almost 25% of the fat cells treated.*
